SUMNER COUNTY VETERANS PARK

Located behind the Sumner County Administration Building 355 N. Belvedere, Gallatin, TN

IT WASN’T THE UNIFORM; IT WAS THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO WORE IT! IT WASN’T THE BATTLES THEY FOUGHT, BUT THEIR PROTECTION OF FAMILY, FRIENDS AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

The Sumner County Veterans Park has been designed and maintained by Chapter 240 of the Vietnam Veterans of America so that all who visit the park can acknowledge and remember the sacrifice of so many. A memorial located in the center of the park has names inscribed of Sumner County service members who gave the supreme sacrifice and died in the service of their country. The Sumner County Veterans’ Wall of Honor is located adjacent to the memorial. It is lined with bricks inscribed with the names of men and women from Sumner County and Tennessee who have taken the solemn oath of enlistment or commission and served their country honorably. The Wall of Honor has space available for the names of veterans to be added for a donation of $75.00 per brick.

There is a sidewalk and a planter in front of the flagpoles near the entrance which will be funded by donations. The planter will be fronted with bricks with donors’ names engraved on them as supporters of those who have served and continue to serve. The donation requested is

$100.00 per brick.

The sidewalk has pavers of differing sizes and for a donations of $250.00, $500.00 , or $750.00 the name of the donors will be engraved in the pavers. Note: the 18” x 18” pavers can also be engraved with the sponsor’s logo.

Please join with Chapter 240, Vietnam Veterans of America to ensure that Veterans are not forgotten and that all are honored.
